Dr. Truth & Associates, LLC provides a safe space for clients to heal by exploring new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving through culturally-affirming, solution-focused mental health therapy services. Dr. Truth motivates clients to become the most-healed version of themselves and to break long-standing generational patterns of trauma, poverty-thinking,

dis-ease and emotional dysregulation which no longer serve them.

The goal of treatment is to empower clients with daily rituals and strategies to live life more aligned with their life purpose. Dr. Truth is a former Professor of NeuroPsychology & Child/Adolescent Psychology, she is also a 3 time book author (Shift, Grace and Black Girls Cry: 10 Strategies to Cope with Grief of a Close Loved One), and she is the creator of grief healing baskets/grief healing workshops, which have assisted 100’s of people in their grief, healing and release journey, after the death of a close loved one. Dr. Truth never thought that she would become known as “The Grief Doctor” until after the death of her Aunt Jay, whom she shares about in her book entitled, Black Girls Cry (which can be purchased on Amazon.com or drtruthandassociates.com).

Dr. Truth provides stress management sessions for community members and mental health professionals including DCFS caseworkers and others in order to “HEAL the HEALERS”. Dr. Truth is a well sought-after speaker and has spoken for a Fortune 500 company, Blackowned businesses and community organizations within the U.S., on the topics of “Juneteenth:Celebration of Emancipation” and “PostTraumatic Slave Syndrome: Trauma & Healing: Racism’s Impact on Mental Health in the Black Family and Black Community”.

Dr. Truth hails from the South Side of Chicago, loves running 5k’s, and is passionate about empowering people, especially business leaders, on the endless opportunities available, while living from the PROSPERITY & ABUNDANCE mindset.
